Privacy policy
Last updated: 21 August 2026
This privacy policy explains how Knownful (“Knownful”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit knownful.com (the “Site”). Knownful is operated by Matthis Duarte, based in Spain. If you have any questions, contact us at contact@knownful.com.
We care about your privacy. We keep data collection to a minimum, we do not sell your personal data, and we only use it for the purposes described below.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Matthis Duarte, reachable at contact@knownful.com. If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have specific rights over your personal data, described in the “Your rights” section below.
What we collect and why
We only collect information that helps us run the Site and respond to you.
- Information you send us. If you email us or fill in a contact form, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this only to reply to you and to keep a record of our correspondence. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- Newsletter sign-up. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide, and use it only to send you the updates you asked for. The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, or by emailing contact@knownful.com.
- Usage and analytics data. Like most websites, we may collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and referring pages, through cookies or similar technologies and through our analytics provider. We use this in aggregate to understand how the Site is used and to improve it. The legal basis is your consent, where required, or our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the Site.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider may automatically log technical data (such as IP addresses and request times) for security and reliability. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the Site secure and available.
We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data, and we ask that you do not send them to us.
Cookies
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies are needed for the Site to function. Analytics cookies help us understand usage and are only set where permitted, and where required, only after you consent through our cookie banner. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling some cookies may affect how parts of the Site work.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the Site, and only as needed for them to perform their service. These may include:
- our website hosting provider,
- our analytics provider,
- our email and newsletter provider, if you subscribe.
These providers act as data processors on our behalf and are bound to protect your data. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Some of these providers may process data outside the EEA. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your data.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected. Contact correspondence is kept while it is useful for our records and then deleted. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider’s standard retention settings.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@knownful.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Spain, this is the Agencia Espanola de Proteccion de Datos (AEPD).
Children
The Site is intended for professional and general audiences and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
External links
The Site links to third-party websites and sources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
